Vinfast VF3
VinFast wanted to revolutionise the urban mobility market with a game-changing mini-eSUV offering practicality and style.
The approach:
GoMotiv faced an exciting challenge: create a compact eSUV that combines bold styling with utility and affordability—a vehicle that would inspire a new generation of younger drivers. This required a design with unbound imagination.
Working closely with VinFast's engineering team, we developed the VF3 from initial concept through to production-ready design, crafting a vehicle that maximised space within city-friendly dimensions.
Our team leveraged advanced digital tools for rapid iteration, allowing the simultaneous development of multiple variants. This accelerated process enabled quick feedback cycles with VinFast, eliminating the delays typical with traditional modelling methods.
At just 3.19 metres in length, the VF3 houses a thoughtfully designed interior that can comfortably seat four passengers. Plus, for added versatility, the rear seats can be folded down to expand the trunk capacity to 285 litres, providing extra cargo space when needed.
The exterior design merges robust geometric blocks with elegant lines, creating a striking presence unlike typical city cars. To further appeal to younger drivers, we developed nine vibrant colour choices and optional bespoke motifs, letting owners express their unique style and personality.
Through close coordination with the engineering team, GoMotiv crafted the VF3 to accommodate a 32kW electric motor and 18.64kWh battery within its compact proportions. This efficient arrangement ensures smooth, responsive performance ideal for urban driving, while the battery provides a practical 210km range. With its fast-charging capability, the battery can go from 10% to 70% in just 36 minutes, offering minimal downtime and maximum convenience—all within a sleek and stylish package ideal for city living.
The market response exceeded all expectations - 27,649 pre-orders flooded in within 66 hours of launch, with the first customer deliveries beginning in August 2024.

Through this collaboration, GoMotiv and VinFast created more than just another electric vehicle - they delivered a new icon of sustainable urban living that resonates with modern drivers. The VF3 demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform an ambitious vision into a market-ready reality.
