In the competitive world of 4x4 accessories, the challenge isn't just about adding utility; it’s about seamless integration. Sammitr partnered with GoMotiv to develop a premium suite of accessories for the Toyota Hilux that bridges the gap between rugged off-road performance and sophisticated OEM-level design. The goal was to create a range of products, from bullbars to roof racks, that feel like a natural extension of the vehicle’s DNA, rather than an aftermarket afterthought.
The approach:
Our challenge was to move away from the generic "one-size-fits-all" aesthetic typical of many aftermarket parts and toward a design language that respects the Hilux’s heritage while enhancing its capability.
OEM-Plus Integration: We focused on "Visual Flow," ensuring that the lines of the bullbar and side steps followed the existing contours of the vehicle body. By utilising precise 3D CAD data, we created a design that mimics the factory fit and finish, signalling a level of quality and safety that inspires confidence in both urban and rugged environments.
Functional Aesthetics: To elevate the user experience, we subtly integrated technical requirements, such as sensor mounting points and cooling vents into the primary design features. By treating these functional necessities as design opportunities, we transformed the bullbar and roof rack into premium sculptural elements that enhance the vehicle's stance without compromising its technical performance or safety ratings.
The outcome:
The result is a cohesive and highly functional accessory ecosystem that sets a new benchmark for the Hilux platform. The design successfully transitioned from conceptual sketches and 3D-printed prototypes to a production-ready suite of products that command attention on the road and on the trail.
